However, this is overpowered by her love for her closest friends and cousin, Citiali, Amazatl, and Tsijiari. Tsikiri has some faith in her people's gods and in the teotl but is not religious. • Kiri is fire proof due to her father being Kurikaweri, the god of fire and the sun in Purepecha culture
  • She has superhuman strength, stamina, and healing

Backstory:

  • Childhood: Kiri was born to a weaver and a merchant. She is not actually her parents' child but their niece. Kiri's birth mother was in love with Kurikaweri but was killed in the first wave of this world's equivalent of smallpox after Kiri's birth. Kiri's aunt and uncle partly resented having to care for her as they did not want children. Kiri's uncle later adopted her cousin, Tsijiari and raised him with them. The kids grew up together and were very close. Kiri's aunt got pregnant with her own child but lost the baby and her fertility to the second wave. After that Kiri's uncle started to travel more and more to avoid all three of them. Shanarani, Kiri's mother, would eventually send the children off to the schools the nobles were allowed into.

  • Adolescence: At this time, Kiri and Tsijiari were sent off to a warrior school. Both of them did extremely well and excelled. They met Amazatl who was a year older than them and Citiali, who was a year younger. Amazatl became a high ranking soldier while Kiri and Tsijiari were mid rank. Citiali who decided to avoid marriage and children by becoming an ahuicame joined them, having an on and off relationship with Amazatl. Kiri met Apatschin, who was the son of a Ikikunari woman and a warrior that was brought by the Tosnaxians from the native people of northeast equivalent of the States. They hit off and eventually had plans of getting married and having a family.  They bonded in the battlefield and eventually Apatschin got the approval of Shanarani and Ixcoyotl, Kiri's adoptive father.

  • Adulthood: When Kiri was around nineteen, a war broke out between the Nahuweris, Irechewka, and Ikikunari and the Etheian Empire, who was angry at their refusal to trade with them. They retailated by burning down a village near the capital. All three nations banded together to stop them. Kiri and her friends were in battle when they were hit with a new weapon- the cannon. Apatschin was too close to one and was killed. Kiri had a brief mental breakdown after his death and vowed to end the war and find those responsible for his death. Eventually, Kiri and her friends were transferred to the town of Angancueo where the story began.
