She's a disney princess too you know...

No. She's not currently an official Disney Princess (not all princesses owned by Disney are part of the franchise for different reasons). You can check any Disney website you want, and if you do find Leia with the other princesses, then it's fanart.

Technically, she's a princess...
Owned by disney, is a princess.
Done and done.
All the proof i need.

Yeah but it's all about how you define it. Disney defines "Disney Princess" as a character who's part of the official lineup (Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mulan, Tiana, Rapunzel, Merida, Anna and Elsa). And Leia isn't. If you're wondering why I included Anna and Elsa, it's because they're being added really soon. But Leia is considered an "unofficial" Disney Princess.

Well, i probably prefer it that way honestly...
I don't want a "comb her hair" or "she sings songs" Leia doll...
And heck, a lot of the official Disney princesses aren't even princesses.
So i guess it's more of a title given by Disney, instead of it mattering if the character is a princess or not.
Like how you said Elsa will be added.
She's technically a queen, not a princess.
But Disney will label her as a princess because that's just how they market it.

Yeah true. Like with Mulan. And I haven't seen Pocahontas in a long time, but I think real life Indians back in her time didn't actually use the term "princess" either …
I suppose Elsa is a princess at the beginning of the movie, but yeah, you're right, she's a queen for most of it. It's interesting, because initially she was going to be a villain, and then they wouldn't even have considered making her a Disney Princess!

I don't think Pocahontas is very historically accurate mind you...
But i guess everything falls into place for Disney's say-so.
I kinda do highly doubt Leia will ever be a Disney princess unless they start making characters from Marvel or miss Piggy part of the lineup.
It's just kinda funny that Disney owns princesses that aren't disney princesses.
And some of their disney princesses aren't actually princesses.
And personally, i never thought of Elsa as the villain in the first act, only as someone who didn't know what to do with her powers.
Heck, i would say there were no villains in the first act.
But then they forced the role onto Hans, (Who i liked better as a nice guy) and made it feel just a tad cliche.

No of course not … Did it sound like I said it was? The only thing I was talking about specifically is that the "Indian princess" trope is overused in correlation with reality. I'm not sure if the real Pocahontas should actually be considered a princess.
Yeah, I strongly doubt Leia will become part of the official lineup. Star Wars wasn't Disney property at the time of her creation (Merida is Pixar, but at least Disney owned the company when Brave came out), Leia's live-action, and they'd have to pay Carrie Fisher for using her face in merchandise which is something they weren't willing to do with Amy Adams who played Giselle in Enchanted.
I like the idea of an evil prince, but it wasn't perfectly executed. I think Frozen had a lot of pacing issues and that the plot felt unfinished, somehow. When it comes to Kristoff I'm pretty neutral, I can see why people like him, I can see why people dislike him. But it was obvious he would end up with Anna from the start. It feels like filmmakers are trying to break the pattern with a prince as a love interest now, which is fine, but it becomes a new stereotype in itself for the heroine to end up with a commoner. Anyway, if they wanted to make Kristoff and Anna's love story really believable, they should have taken a different route. The movie makes it seem like Anna is really confused about her feelings and just settles with whoever shows an interest in her at the current moment. At first she was all into Hans and it's not that strange because they connected so well, although she shouldn't have gotten engaged immediately of course. Then when he turns out to be evil and she learns Kristoff loves her, it seemed to me like she thought "Maybe Kristoff's not so bad after all, he likes me". That doesn't feel like a great love story to me. Anna might actually BE emotionally confused and traumatized because of her childhood and she just expresses that in a different way than Elsa does, but Disney don't usually delve deep into psychology.
Elsa was originally planned to be the villain (pre-production) before they made Hans the villain. This is because in the original fairy tale, the Snow Queen is evil. But they changed it after writing "Let It Go", because they realized her motives weren't that bad after all.

Well...
Don't think i can beat that...
Note: never get into discussions about frozen...
But i understand all the points you're making, even though i personally wish Kristoff wasn't the love interest.

Yeah like I said, I don't really have a preference when it comes to love interest. I'm just saying, that if they want Kristoff as the love interest, they should have done it differently to be more believable.

Yeah, i feel that they should've gone with a route similar to either tangled or mulan.
So having a more natural(ish) relationship.
Or not having one to begin with.

Yep. It's not terrible but I think the other new Disney movies are just as good, if not better, to be honest. I do feel though that Frozen might make a better stage musical, so it could be a good choice they made to turn it into one.

Heh, popular... Musicals... Idina Menzel...
Anywho.
Although i feel that frozen would work as a stage musical and stuff, it still is kinda short on songs.
Musicals tend to have like twenty songs on broadway and such.

They probably could pull off some amazing stuff.
In the recent stage production of Mary Poppins, the sweeps walk on the walls and then onto the ceiling, so who knows what disney could pull off with their seemingly endless miles of cash.
