Aisilon, also known as "Steve" the Wraith from Stargate Atlantis, made for a pressie for . I call it my insanity project because I never made a plushie before and suddenly decided I would with no pattern or instructions. I must say, as hard as he was to do, I love him to pieces. Inset pic is his feeding slit on the back of his right hand.

oh so cute i would be really happy if i had a wraith like this or made me one, but i am not good at handwork, maybe someday you can tell my how you made it

Thanks! He was actually the first one I ever made, it's not too hard, just draw a basic body (can't be too detailed or the sewing gets really complicated), cut out a front and back (I use felt) and figure out where clothes should start and end, etc. His hair is yarn knotted at one end and pulled through cross-stitch fabric. Then sew him up and stuff him!
Yes, Steve was indeed awesome, he's my second favorite Wraith so far (the one from Common Ground being number one).

Thanks, glad you like him! His facial ridges and the two belts were glued, everything else was sewn by hand. Even his hair was threaded through a strand at a time (used cross-stitch fabric for the back of his head).

Actually, no I don't. They made me sew at school. They made me sew a school uniform skirt, and a dress from material so awful that even a 90 yr old granny wouldn't be seen dead in it! I never wore it. *shudders*

You see now why I was calling myself insane? Yup, first plushie. The only thing I've ever sewn that was even slightly related was a small pillow I stuffed with old socks when I was eight or nine. What I did was I took a gingerbreadman outline and used that for the base, but I can't even begin to explain how interesting doing his different parts was. Thanks for the
