Rio has been suffering from nightmares but he couldn't make out why he was having them, until one day he found the cause of his nightmares which was Brinley. But in Rio's mind didn't make sense, after all he didn't defeated her, so why she was haunting him?

Brinley revealed that the magic the axolotls gained were caused by the explosion between the fight of Asura and Brinley, so part of that magic got divided, the magic from Asura is unknown where it landed but the part of Brinley landed with the axolotls which made them have the magic gift.

Brinley sensed this when she was fighting Flaming Spider Knights, so despite being gone she is going to haunt Rio in all the ways possible.
