In this version, he is the son of Darkseid (He was his Uncle in the comics) and he is the general of his army of Parademons. Steppenwolf has a helmet shaped as the JL Movie version and is now looking more badass. All he wants is to be ruler of his own world. He would end up being killed by Darkseid, when he tried to kill him so he can take over his power and position during Crisis 13. He wanted the Anti-Life Equation for himself.
