Description Prehistoric shark, a creature with a curious curved whorl for a lower jaw, filled to the brim with razor-sharp teeth. No scientist is completely sure what this tooth whorl was for, but here I've depicted it as a hunting tool, used to snarl up some tasty jellyfish (and maybe that squid-like animal if it doesn't swim away quickly enough).

This is all watercolors, 9x12 inches, and it took about four hours to finish. I'll be making a piece with an anthropomorphic version as well!

One of my favorite extinct animals, wonderful work, especially with that one squid in the bottom left the eye is gorgeous.
