hey don't say that! don't compare your self to other artists, know your goals, keep drawing, and always have fun!

I'd love to share my process~! it helps to start with something that you are familiar with, for me i'm familiar with dragon's and undertale because i love them both and they are kinda on my mind alot as a visual artist. his traits are lightly based on my own but are adjusted to pair nicely with specific characters like papyrus or monster kid. You can also take traits from people you know and not just yourself. I also tried to make his character traits make sense, like they feel like they come from something else. for instance this character has a lack of confidence that stems from his inability to use fire magic as a dragon who should be able to. another example would be a character that lacks trust because they were abandoned as a child. Also the setting of this character is placed in snowdin, this puts him out of his element(pun intended ) as a dragon and opens up possibility for conflict and in turn development. even tho it makes since to put him in hotland i choose snowdin specifically for that reason. Another example would be placing a character with high morals and a sort of hero trait in a criminal broken down town setting. try to make things inconvenient for the character and think about how that character would react to that inconvenience (this could in turn influence their design). this character has the inconvenience of living in a snow place with no fire abilities, how would one work around that issue? My mind went to a sweater, and that in turn influenced his design. I also wanted this character to be sweet and kind, so I choose a candy cane like sweater. So i guess i'm trying to say, make your characters design reflect their biggest traits, physical or internal. I honestly struggled with the color pallet, but the blue reflects something cold and the sweater is a warm color because that's what actually keeps him warm. reds and blues don't normally go together, but by toning down the saturation i could make it work.... sorta. the white breaks up the contrast because white and black will go with anything. and red and green are complimentary colors so by including the green it softens out the clash that the red and blue make. the overall sort of silhouette of this character also reflects their character traits. most of the characters visual weight is in his legs and lower body, his weight is pulled down, this communicates a heaviness or burden. this could be great for creating a lazy, or sad character. i'll highlight a process step by step that i did for this character:
1. start with something familiar, a person you know, a character trope, a specific creature like an elf or demon etc.
2. think about the characters setting and who they would be interacting with
3. scribble! don't get attached to the first design, play around with the characters looks until you find something you can replicate
4. in terms of expressions, think about the kinds of expressions that character would make, for instance this character wouldn't have a sly smile or confident smirk, its just not in his character while an overly confident character like papyrus might
I really hope this helps~ its hard to describe my process because it's a little messy

Thank you for that help! Well my character isnt that creative i think the start of the story is more creative then the main character in it (my undertale au/timeline story and oc)
I tried to make my character abit more realistic.
Where she fell down she was full of blood and dirt. She walked met flowey, flowey wanted to attack her, goat mom came and hit flowey with an fireball, my oc actually tried to warn flowey and yeah. My character gets an shorter hair cut because her hair was full of blood and small bricks. And she got charas sweater because her clothes where teared apart by the fall. She reminds toriel of chara and tori didnt wanted to let her go because she doesnt „want her dear to die again!“ and blah blah blah
