If you turn to your right just a little more, then I'll see you shooting the arrow through it's...face?
Very nice--enjoyable!

Well it's pretty hard to properly aim at something that keeps moving around like there's no tomorrow x)

it's not drawn, it's the official 3D model from the game itself that I photohsopped in.

I would have blurred the tail and added a little shading adjustment on it, but other than that, it looks amazing X3
Great job!

Spiked-Fox In reply to SylphViper [2011-09-29 04:24:47 +0000 UTC]
Shading was already greatly adjusted to the ambiant lighting according to the original colors of the 3d model, and blurring the tail would make it look fake and shopped... the picture was taken with a small F value causing even the background to stay -somewhat- sharp. Such a close and in-focus subject as the kargarok would make no sense to have parts of it blurred more than I am, unless said parts are moving, then again, pictures taken with a short shutter speed (above 1/250sec.) barely carry any motion blur (unless movement is really fast... racing cars fast that is lol).
Still, thanks for the feedback XD

By "blurring, " should have mentioned that I meant a miniscule amount of "motion blur" to the tail lol XD
And I still have to say that I'm impressed how you got the lighting on the model to look, along with its edges. :3
Eheheheh...

Spiked-Fox In reply to SylphViper [2011-09-29 19:19:09 +0000 UTC]
I have to agree that something is off with its tail, but I think it's more lighting related than motion(blur)-related. Oh well, I did not keep the original psd file and am too lazy to do it again lol

SylphViper In reply to Spiked-Fox [2011-10-01 21:27:51 +0000 UTC]
OHHH yeah...now that you mention it...it....is the lighting...isn't it...XD Ahahaha....I guess whenever something looks wrong to me, my immediate choice is to blur...FAIL. trolololol.
Haha...yeah, either way, it looks pretty dang good. No use in making it look insanely realistic if everyone already knows that it's not real, lol
Perfection isn't necessary anyway...but it's nice to aim for it. XD

Spiked-Fox In reply to SylphViper [2011-10-02 03:43:38 +0000 UTC]
Well I actually have the ideals of achieving perfection by means of imperfection... because I believe that when things are too perfect, they lose all credibility and sense of realism. Take for example, a picture of a cosplayer with a spotless costume and rustless shiny-new armor, with his cape perfectly symmetrical around him and every bit of wig hair placed behind his ears, and the area around his feet free of any stone/leaf/dirt/whateverelse... That would never happen in real life o.O;

SylphViper In reply to Spiked-Fox [2011-10-02 18:48:50 +0000 UTC]
Ahhhh, but by perfection, I was not referring to cleanliness...Rather, I was referring to the most convincing(and also most realistic) version of the piece possible...so that would mean the OPPOSITE of clean, lol. XD
Of course, if you're looking for the cleanest version, that's not exactly realistic.

Spiked-Fox In reply to SylphViper [2011-10-02 22:15:14 +0000 UTC]
Haha yeah I know, and I didn't mean cleanliness either lol I just hate when it's too clean, too perfect, it's not credible. XD I think we have the same view about this subject, from what I can see lol
