I don't think there was traces of feathers on Compsognathus, well, as far as I know anyways.

But phylogenetic bracketing allows us to hypothesize that feathers are far more likely for it than no feathers.

I bet he is. Itchy, cold, can barely see due to crusting around the eyes, sore spots from scratching, probably broken skin and bleeding in some areas from skin rubbing together.. this guy has it in rough.

As far as I know Compsognathids are good candidates for at least part-scalyness, so naked parts on them wouldn't be that horrible like shown here.
But for sure they had quite much fuzz also , especially at the head, neck, anterior-body, back, arms and tail.
Netherless a good illustration, I feel really sorry for that guy, well done.

Yeah, i know it likely had fuzz , and maybe scales here and there.

Lol, nice. Even worse than Primaropteryx mite. FAR worse, really. This is what happens when parasites go unchecked, people! The threat of this deadly disease needs to be communicated to the public through every means necessary.

Heh. Featherless coelurosaur awareness posters would be an interesting challenge topic. (hint hint Emily lol, seeing as you're clearly going to have the next pick)

Lol, that would be a hilarious challenge topic. I think I've already got my idea picked out, though.

Fair enough, I trust it'll be plenty interesting.
