"Tsuki ni kawatte oshioki yo!"

My Sailor Moon cosplay. The wig will be re-done, but I'm pretty sure that most of the costume will stay the same.

The fuku is a double layer of beige and white satin stretch fabric. The collar, choker, bows and skirt are all Casa Satin. The lines on the collar are done with 3/4" ribbon. The bows and collar were both hand drafted. The bows are interfaced. The skirt was hemmed by facing the material and using an invisible slip stitch to prevent noticeable hems.

The gloves were hand-patterned and the rolls at the end were done in swimsuit stretch fabric wrapped around rolled foam. The hip roll and shoulder rolls were made the same way with the white stretchy material.

The boot covers were hand drafted and made with a slightly stretchy upholstery fabric. The moons on the boots and choker are all craft foam. The earrings were made with sculpey (to make the moon beads) and beads. Clear, faceted beads were placed between the moons to create the illusion of space. The tiara was made with craft foam by heating it over the oven. The gem on the tiara was clear and the back painted red.

The wig was also done by me, and was the death of me for 24 hours. I initially commissioned a wig that did not work out for me at all, and had to learn how to style the wig I did make within twenty four hours. It was nuts @.@;; I am proud of the work I did, but I intend to make some alterations to this wig. The odango shields were made with craft foam, in the hotel room the night before ;__; I intend to improve upon them.

It was really funny when I was standing up on this thing. You can't really tell, but I was over 100 feet from the ground here. Kind of dizzying heights and all. People below were shouting "Don't do it Sailor Moon! It's not worth it!" which was really funny!
