If you're asking me if I was only adding color to the grayscale image, the answer is no. I introduced color almost immediately.

yeah I can see tht, but my Answer was did you use the tonal drawing or the Line one?, though I like how you were able to concentrate just on demon nd part of the girl body.

I get it now. You're referring to the Adrian Smith's design samples, right? Most of the time I looked at the tonal one. I used the line drawing only when I was confused by some tricky, small details.

That's about right. The characters belong to Adrian Smith who explained their relationship to be the one between a witch and a demon summoned to protect her. I'm glad it translated well enough for you to pick up on it.
