Description I just saw Rango! Great stuff!

Rarely will you see so much ugly, weird and hilarious shit in one movie making so much sense.

Not much to this speedpainting. I know there is probably a lot of Rango portraits out there, but so what. There are a lot of growling, leaping Wolverines out there too.

The movie was really good the amount of effort put in it showed, for some reason it wasn't promoted much here though.. Great art btw, I have put a watch on you

What made you jump to digital painting??? You were gone along time and now its a new medium. It's great but I'm curious.

Well I didn't exactly change mediums. It's more like I added something new to my skill set. I still do traditional work, it's just that I don't do enough finished stuff to post it here. I'll post some in the future.

Why go digital?
1. I thought my drawing style was going nowhere, so I decided to try something new, to get out of my comfort zone.

2. I was always interested in painting, but I'm just not a very patient guy. I also wanted to learn a bit about color. Also, if you want to be an illustrator its pretty important to know how to work in color, and I wasn't interested in just putting flats over my ink-work.

3. I bought wacom intuos 4 for my storyboarding work a year ago, and wanted to learn how to use it for something more sophisticated. I've been painting for a little more than a month now.

Hey first off thanks for a thought out response, that's real cool... I'd agree it's just an addition to your style. I noticed it still really looks like your stuff just painted. Like those lip wrinkle things you do are still present which is nice.

1. I'd say I'm not alone in saying your line work has a lot of style. I can't think of anything I've seen like it. Original.

2. I hear ya, no patience here either but color is something I am coming to respect, understand, and finally enjoy as well.

3. A MONTH! cheers to that mate. That's some progress. Not sure what it's worth from someone who is colorblind and has no patience for painting but your approach thus far reminds me of . That's a compliment in my book, the dude is great.

Well keep up the good work man, I'm always looking forward to your posts. peace -A

About 1,5 hours. Maybe a little more. I don't know for sure.
