I used Provia 100 slide filem then the lab scanned it. I should rescan it now that i have my own scanner and do a better job of it.
Not sure what the lights where. Could have been sparks from the fire that was lighting the image.

ah so that would be ISO 100 (speed 100) film then? thats why twas such a long exposure, that, and to get the trails all nice and trailly. i want to get some revolutions around the north star at some point.

Try it out..
The results are always different as you can put anything in the forground for some trippy scenes.

WOW
This is really beautifull
I wonder how you did this
Only full view is a bit to big
Thats my only critique
Nice work!

Thanks.

To acheive this image:

put camera on sturdy tripod.
use a cable release.
focus on trees
set your camera to bulb mode at F/5.6
expose for however long you want. THis image was exposed for 45 mins roughly.\

Hope this helps.

Wow thats insane! Did you have it on bulb? But...if you had it on blub you would have to hold it down the whole time....hmmm.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

spinklefinkle In reply to AmysPhotography [2006-03-29 02:44:38 +0000 UTC]

Yes i did have it on bulb mode.
The best invention to cameras is a cable release so you do not have to hold down the shutter.

JohnnyPanic777 [2006-03-09 21:27:55 +0000 UTC]

My guess is that this is a real picture, but it really gives off the vibe that it is fake and was photoshopped and digitally done. I love the strong colouration of the leaves in the trees and the varying tones of orange present. It almost lokks like one of those shots you see of the LA highway, with all of the headlights blurred among hundreds upon hundreds of cars. lovely concept.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

spinklefinkle In reply to JohnnyPanic777 [2006-03-10 00:22:07 +0000 UTC]

This picture is very real. I do not know how to use photoshop well enough to do anything like this.
It was a 45 min exposure, pointed towards the stars. There was a fire going to make the trees glow and light up to that color.
Thanks for the comment and gald you like it.
