It was January 5, 2021. My parents were at work while I stayed home, I just got a Game Boy Advance and my very first game was Kirby and the Amazing Mirror. I put the game in the Game Boy Advance, and started up the game.

The title screen was the same, but it was different. The background was purely black. The logo didn’t say “Kirby and the Amazing Mirror”, It just said “Kirby”.

The opening cutscene was normal, But when Meta Knight was defeated by Dark Meta Knight, I was horrified as Meta Knight was cut in half as hyper-realistic blood spewed out. The rest of the opening cutscene was normal. The start of the game was normal, but the other Kirbies were gone. As I reached Moonlight Mansion, it looked different. It looked abandoned, There were plants everywhere, And there were no enemies. When I reached the King Golem’s room, It just showed Dark Matter’s eye, Everything was also gone. Then his orange eye slowly turned pitch black, As blood red Herbrew text faded into the screen, It said: נגמר לך הזמן. Translation: “YOUR TIME IS UP.”. Then I heard screams as the screen slowly turned to static, and then the game turned off, My parents were back and told them about the game, and they knew it, and they checked the Gameboy Advance, and when they turned around to the back of the console, They saw a stain on the back, and they threw it out, 2 months later, I got a new Gameboy Advance, and I could play Kirby and the Amazing Mirror normally now.

The aftermath:

I emailed Nintendo about the corrupted Nintendo Gameboy Advance. 2 weeks later, Nintendo emailed me, it read:

Sorry for the broken GameBoy advance, some urban legend would’ve made it act like that.

After this, I watched Kirby-related content on YouTube to get the incident out of my mind.
