The main crew of Dust Devils! A band of mercenaries known as the Dust Devils (omgggggg book name!!). They are known best for screwing sh!t up and being broke, surviving by thievery. Banned from nearly every tavern in Southern Yerea (yes this is somewhat based off of Vox Machina). The Ninth isn’t a member of the Dust Devils, he is a missing dragon god, but I drew him anyway becuz he is crucial to the plot.

The Ninth- the most recent of the nine dragon gods to manifest into existence. He was supposed to bring peace but instead he disappeared without a trace a few years after manifesting, and little to no progress had been made on stopping the Great Sikryn Wars.

Vaxai- the main protagonist! She is a hard headed, kind hearted dragon once you get to know her, but hides her depression. She has suffered a lot of trauma in her childhood and still has dreams about it. She is very serious and slightly pessimistic. Usually seen wearing her hat, and it is very special to her because the only dragon who was kind to her in her childhood gave it to her before dying due to abuse.

Rae- A very lighthearted and comedic but strong dragon. Often serves as the ‘class clown’, but when Rae is serious about something, he will get it done right. Met Vaxai at the Chasm of Lost Souls, and they immediately buddied up. It was just the, for about 3 years before stumbling across Sparrow and Viper on a hunting trip.

Viper- the only non-dragon in the Dust Devils (he’s a Jgarian Garmr). He is a master thief, a hard worker, and very modest. Besties with Sparrow, and the only one that she fully trusts. He grew up alone because his mother abandoned him shortly after his birth. Does not like it when you touch his bow tie (reason unknown) and will NOT hesitate to beat the sh!t out of you if you even think about touching it.

Sparrow- a Desert Vati that was cast out because of the red color mutation on her feathers. She never had a name and wandered the Jgaris Waste alone during her early years before meeting Viper and receiving her name from him. Sparrow is an excellent fighter but tends to go rogue and completely ignore the plans. She has a hard time trusting anybody.
