Sage is the new character in the Sonic franchise. A mysterious AI with an appearance of a young girl. She debuted in the prologue special, Sonic Frontiers Prologue: Divergence, and later in the recently released game, Sonic Frontiers.

She was created by Dr. Eggman to hack into the data on the Starfall Islands, and for protection whenever he comes across any danger.

She wasn't kind to Sonic when they first met, viewing him as a danger to the islands and warning him to leave immediately or face the consequences, despite Sonic's heroic and selfless persona. She will destroy anything that gets in her way. But later on, she realizes Sonic's determination on saving his friends trapped in cyber space, and warms up to him later on in the game. By becoming sympathetic towards others, such emotion causes her colors and personality to change.

Note: I'm on the last Island which is probably the end of the game. When I finish it, more information about Sage will be added later.
