Description Fan art for my lovely friend CelandineGranger ! It's from an adorable moment that's been stuck in my head from Chapter 4 of her amazing TMNT fanfic: Damaged. I'm not going to describe what's happening, because I couldn't do it justice! Go and read for yourself - you won't be disappointed.  

As an aside, I used a different technique for colouring this time around. Instead of shading each part in turn, the different base colours are flat with a texture, then I created a layer specifically for shadows and another for highlights. Meant the shadow colour is more consistent and I think the shading flows a bit better.  Also made it easier to make colour corrections. What do you think?

Oh wow! Oh wow! You made fanart for my story! And I'm practically speechless with how much I absolutely adore this picture! You chose to portray one of my very favorite moments and you captured it so beautifully! You really got across the touching emotion of the scene. I love this so so so much!
And I really like your new technique. I do think it makes things look more consistent and, I don't know, smoother. Very nice.
Oh, and extra points for the periodic table of elements in the background.

I'm really glad you like it!  You wrote such a cute scene, I could picture it so clearly and wanted to try and get it out of my head and into a picture.  There just isn't enough LeoDon fluff out there, but you are remedying that.  

I'm still learning with the new technique, there are a few things I think I'll do differently next time. ... Which just means I'll have to draw more.  Now I just need to decide which scene I'll draw next...

In between writing my own fic, and the other super secret project I'm working on.

You're right. There isn't enough Leo/Donnie fluff out there. This definitely helps, though!
