Nice. Personally, I prefer the slicker look of digital, but it's always cool to see what you can make with your own hands.

Yeah, I kind of failed at making these look smooth xD;;
But when I found out that BLoSC was cel and not digitally colored, I had to try ^^

I'm impressed, I'm terrible at painting. X3
Ooh, Mira's eyes look so good! You did an awesome job!
I love XR's cel, that is so cute. ^^ It almost... it almost looks like stained glass to me, I don't know why.

What exactly did you use to color them?

Thank you! ^^
I used acrylic paints that I bought at Michael's for about $1.50-2.00 each. Except on Mira's hair I accedentally used glossy paint; bad idea, it's doesn't work.

Making animation cels takes practice. I taught myself to ink on acetate with a quill pen and paint on the back with acrylic paint. Though nowadays it's all done digitally.

Quill and ink? Wow! (I was just using permanent pen)
Yeah... it's kind of a shame, because part of the art is lost. But I guess animation is an industry so they do whatever is most efficient.
