Description Borodino. Prince Andrey Bolkonsky got wounded and died.
I still haven`t forgotten anything about this book or film. I just have to think about it.
Recently I read about Russian generals at Borodino battle and there was a young officer Alexander Tuchkov, who was leading a regiment. This regiment got into the French fire and this young officer, holding a banner in his hands, lead his regiment ahead. They fought off the french soldiers but officer Tuchkov got killed.
Similar ends between Bolkonsky and Tuchkov.
Ah well... I hope You like it.

Beautiful! Perfect in detail! I love prince Andrej. Mainly performed by Tichonov from Bondarchuk War and Peace. His death also broke my heart...

Thank You very much I still find myself thinking about him. He really seems like a flesh and blood human who has really lived

The Barnes and Noble edition of War and Peace tells you Andrei dies on the BACK OF THE BOOK. I was so mad that they spoiled it for me!

But I love the book, as well as the Soviet film--the actor portraying Andrei was superb and exactly as I imagined him--and this piece is really good. I agree, his story just sticks with you. I really like how the background is just silhouette . . . it distances him from the chaos. Lovely.

Beautiful drawing! I like a lot the silhouettes of the fighting men beyond the cannon, how they look somewhat distant from dying Andrey.
As much as I've been spoilered since long ago about his fate after Borodino, I know that when I'll get to read that chapter it will sadden me to no end

Oh, Andrey. I was so in love with him when i read that book . . .

Your drawing is beautifully done! The detail on his uniform is amazing, and i love the silhouettes in the background.

I don`t know how was it possible, but same here. I loved him too. Although he wasn`t portrayed as a positive character but I really wanted him to find the right way and happiness

Thank You very much!

Yes, definitely. he was so flawed in so many major ways, but I just couldn't help but care about him. But in a certain sense, I think his flaws are kind of what drew me to him; it made him a little more realistic, I guess, and a more complex character.

No problem! ^_^

NOOOOOOO!!! I REALLY should NOT have looked up fanfictions while still reading the novel. I just read a sentence that ended with: "on the twenty-sixth came the battle of Borodino."
Oh, how horribnle it is to know that the end is near.
...I'm not dramatic at all.

I have not forgotten him either. Sometimes I wonder if there could be some way he could have lived, if he could have found a balance in his life. But he was so sad and tired...

He looks so pitiful, all crumpled on the ground, and the thoughts and sounds of war seem to be swirling in his mind.
