Made using a map by , which was amazing, and I just had to make a political map of it. I think it's one of my better maps, but a lot (if not most) of that is from atlas-v7x, so thanks for letting me use it!

So, this is a theoretical political if Ice Age sea levels were still around (at least in the areas depicted on the map). I might have cheated a bit by pretending that some similar languages would exist in their OTL regions and surroundings.

I imagine that the straits between Sunda and Sahul, going from the Pacific Ocean (Ocean of Storms) to the Indian Ocean (Ocean of Trade) and surrounding seas would be some of the heavily competed lands in the world, thus giving the names to the Violent Sea and the Sea of Battle. One empire to emerge and dominate the Straits would be this "Burnine Empire" (or Burninia), taking some of the more important parts of the Violent and Princely Straits. They have yet to conquer the Isles of Battle yet.
