So I watched Hunter x Hunter over the summer and I really liked the Chimera Ant arc. It was a bit long, but those final moments of it with Meruem and the girl really hit me hard. You know what also hit me hard? PITOU KILLING KITE! I mean, I saw it coming when he handed Gon Ging's hunter license. Red flag move. But I loved Kite. I don't really know why, but I did. Seeing Gon struggle so bad after Kite died was just insane.This illustration is a redraw of a scene that physically hurt me. Pitou just chilling in a lake holdings Kite's decapitated head. OH MY GOD, I did not expect that. Kite dying? Yeah, sure. Calmly sitting with a disembodied head? Hell nah. Well, I guess they also blew off Gon's arm in the Greed Island Arc, so... yeah. Maybe shouldn't have been so surprised.
