Is it alive in this photo? Looks like it might be suffering from mouth flukes. That or it might just have debris in its mouth from being killed (if it is in fact dead in this pic).

It is alive, it was in a hole and my buddy jumped over it (not seeing it) and some dirt fell into its mouth, i was about to go over the hole when i saw it in the stance that you see here
