Welp, finally, after procrastinating a bit, I finally finished this haha! Now time to work on Kou's clothing meme and his relationship chart asdf

'Dodgeball...' Kou's mind berated himself for the nth time this day as he lined up with his fellow Sun-members.

'What made me think this was a good idea?! I have no aptitude for sports at all... Not counting the parkour I did when running away!' His cynical mind added as the referee began explaining the rules of the game to everyone.

"Alright, play fair and BEGIN!" with a shout, the referee ran to the side as the first few shots were being thrown already. Suddenly, the ball fell to the hands of a familiar face Kou recognized.

"Go Sun Team!"

"You can do it!"

With a mighty roar, Kou heard his senpai shout a "Go!" before throwing the ball at an alarming speed.

There was a yell of "Urghhh, why, Copy-kun!" before Kou realized that Takei Koichi had been hit by Alex Lee Ruo Lan's Stealing Alice Ball.

The ball turned to a puddle just as Koichi had exclaimed how it "stole his alice". There was a whistle and a point for the Sun Team as people began congratulating Alex for a job well done.

"Here!"

Suddenly, the referee threw the ball towards Kou who caught it in haste. Beside him, there were shoutings of "someone get the nurse!" as everyone halts for a moment to let the fallen senior retreat.

"Umm, a-are you okay, T-Takei-senpai?" Kou exclaimed, worry etched on his face at his senior. Koichi, still out of it, simply grinned and waved his puddle-hand before attempting to talk with the nurse handling him. Kou sighed, as he waited for the referee to let them start once again.

"Heh... so THAT'S how the Stealing Alice looks like as a ball!" his teammate beside him commented, as he heard a flurry of other side comments from the others.

"Bro, imagine a STEEL Alice!"

"Ouch!"

The wince is pretty much everyone's reaction after hearing the suggested comment. Kou sighed, and began planning his basis of attack, as he looked at the ball he's had in his hand.

Somehow, he knew that the ball was suppose to be white... and now, the light tan brown color it slowly morphed into is something he should be alarmed about.

"W-Wait... W-What...? W-Why is the ball...!" Kou halted his thoughts as everything came crashing down to him in realization.

"I-Is is... decaying!?" Quickly, he began thinking of possible solutions and... consequences upon unleashing this piece of... apocalypse.

'Alright, there's two main possiblities here. First, I throw the ball, my alice manifests, the unlucky person gets hit and starts corroding, end of horror story.' His mind made a quick note of how calm he sounded and his face began to panic a bit.

"O-Oh GOD, THIS IS BAD--" Kou cut himself off as his mind began explaining another possibility.

'Second possibility, I throw the half-rotting ball, counting in aerodynamics, it disintegrates before hitting the target or upon hitting the target, ball is destroyed, property damage increases, hooray.' He quickly summarized, noticing the referee slowly going back from the nurse's tent after checking in with Koichi.

'Alright, need time, uggh, referee slow down for heaven's sake!' He began to sweat as a decision needs to be made, fast.

'The possibility of the first scenarion happening is more likely...' he furrowed his eyebrows as he began to go into Strategy-Mode.

'However, taking in the consideration of the Headmistress' planning out of events plus the nature of the game... She would have thought about this sceneraio most likely happening with us dangerous types.' Kou saw the referee being distracted by Jameson-senpai's quick snack break and sighed in relief, mentally thanking the senior for the additional time.

'Therefore, it is rather accurate to assume that scenario two would more likely be what the headmistress had in mind.' Kou stared at the slowly rotting ball, turning from light tan to a bit of darker brown.

'Okay, if all else fails, I just have to make sure this thing rots before even hitting someone.' Kou took a deep breath and began letting his anxiety flow into the ball, the rate of rotting suddenly increased.

"Players, back to positions! On my mark, be ready to start!"

'Well, this is probably a big gamble but... what the heck. I may not believe in myself but I at the very east believe in this academy'

"GO!"

'I hope I'm right...' Kou threw the fully-brown spherical object with not much force but enough to follow a curved path.

"HERE!"

'Please work!'

One of the third year Moon members saw the opportunity to gain a point and immediately positioned himself towards the path of the flying blob of mass.

"Hehe, this one's--" He was cut off when all of a sudden, the ball collapsed, air resistance and decaying alice finally took the toll on the poor object. Somehow, the object still managed to hit the hand of the player, proven by the small dirt accumulated from the contact.

A few seconds later, the ball was simply reduced in a pile of dust.

"E-EHHHH!?" Frozen in shock, the players around him barely managed to hear the shout of "OUT!" by the referee as he escorted the somewhat traumatized student to the benches.

"Nice one, Izumi!"

"Woohoo! Score another for Sun!"

"Alright! Way to go!"

"P-Phew..." Kou relaxed a bit, realizing he made the right gamble.

"S-So it can work like that..." Kou realized, his mind now planning a hundred different ways to abuse this new-found knowledge.

'Heh... Just as planned.' His mind smugly gloated, a smirk forming in his mind's eye, strangely reminiscent of his childhood friend.

'Now let's see, rate of decay that still allows it to bounce, counting in the wind's direction and strength, the sun's relative position...' his mind continued enumarating the factors he can use to deter his enemies.

Somehow, the game just turned towards a whole new direction.

uGHHHH FINALLY FINISHED THISsadsfdglehryt So now I've revealed how Kou is actually a master strategist but a stupid blockhead who does not know social standards and basic human common sense, the game officially starts. Also, his cynical and smug mind is revealed too hehe~
