If you read the post. it's not saying you'll be hired simply from coloring this.. but that it'll get thier attention to probably look at your work.
it's probably a sort of "test " to see if you even merit.. getting test pages. But that's just a guess...

Looks good Splash. As I said below, I'm hesitant to do it simply because they're only wanting this one single pinup instead of sequential work. Just seems a bit weird to me.

I'm gettin the same vibe as you E. Seems kinda weird that they'd want to hire a colorist through a pinup contest instead of looking at sequentials. I'll probably color it, but I'm not gonna really hold my breath on the validity of it simply because they're not doing a sequential contest instead.
Every single publisher out there, be it mainstream or indy, tells you that they want to see how well you do sequential work, and not to focus on pinup work for your portfolio.

I think the pinup will get you the foot in the door -- then they'll ask for sequentials.
I know JJ and Ale, and they're both standup guys - not to mention that they've worked with the big guy, Jim Lee for many years now. So I am sure the right people will see it.
That said, I don't know any more about this than you guys, I haven't talked to anyone down there about it.

Yeah, it never hurts to take the chance. I'm just not as enthusiastic as I was when I first heard about it simply because of the sequential thing.
