have you tried Voxus's videos on youtube? they do a fantastic lets read for the first 5 acts. you kind of have to go on the last leg of it by yourself but it sure does carry you far :y

That's okay, Homestuck is freakishly long. However, I know Jackscepticeye has a Hiveswap Act 1 playthrough if you're interested in that. You don't have to read Homestuck to enjoy it. It does include some of the weird terminology from Homestuck, but I can tell you what all of that stuff is so you won't be confused. (Zebede and Tyzias will be in Act 2, which should be coming out sometime this upcoming spring.)
