Description ...Also known as "Kara got woo-hooed" (with a nod to Miss-Mal ). I attempted to create a mock character poster for my OC Kara Downwright and you have no idea how hard it was to choose the Duck Tales- over the Darkwing Duck-logo. Kara was created as a Darkwing Duck-OC, yet since DW will appear in the Duck Tales reboot, I just had to give it a try and modernise my 90s-version of Kara a bit. Again, I'm honest with you, this style might be neat and modern, but I still prefer the classic Disney Afternoon look of animation, which, at least to my mind, is much more emotive.

"Dr. Kara Downwright" is mine , regardless of the style she's drawn in. Please don't use this character without my permission.

Mmh... I always liked the idea of Anna Friel voicing Kara. She has got such a warm, resonant voice.

Thanks... I guess. Well, the style is strange, to be honest, but I just had to try it... only to say that I still very much favour the original I came up with over ten years ago. By the way, how's your writing going? I just read your latest ficlet about Honker's inner life and it was magnificent. So insightful, so beautifully captured. I hope you'll write more soon!

Sorry for not replying earlier; Christmas ist always very stressful around here. Currently, everything is on hiatus, so I doubt that I'Ill be writing anything much in the next couple of weeks. But I'm glad you liked my little Honker one-shot; it's the first time I ever tried to write the little Muddlefoot.^^

I drew DW as well... he's scanned and saved on my computer... but I'm not too happy with him. The new style just isn't my cup of tea. I already saw the new design somewhere online, but wasn't overly fond of it, to be honest.

Darkwing Duck wird im aktuellen Duck Tales-Reboot (in den USA läuft das schon) wahrscheinlich in der zweiten Staffel einen Gastauftritt haben. Zusammen mit Megavolt und Quackerjack. Der Still sieht aus wie das, was ich da oben fabriziert habe und ganz ehrlich, ich hoffe, sie versauen es nicht. Hoffentlich bekommen wir im Deutschen die Originalstimmen wieder (im Englischen hat's geklappt, zumindest für DW und Quackerjack... Quack hat auf jeden Fall einen neuen Sprecher, wie alle Duck Tales-Charaktere). Eine eigene DW-Serie wird es aber wahrscheinlich nicht geben.

Meh, schade, kein Darkwing.
Hab neulich schonmal Google umgegraben ob stream-mäßig irgendwas finden kann aber irgendwie bin ich ziemlich mies im googeln und hab nix gefunden -_- Naja, dann werd ich schön brav warten
Bin sehr sehr gespannt Endlich kommt mal was Gutes wieder. Die heutigen Kinderserien kann man ja allesamt in die Tonne treten ...

Freu' Dich nicht zu sehr auf Duck Tales... das ist schon arg modernisiert worden. Der Charme der alten Serie ist weg (was nicht unbedingt schlecht ist!) und die Animation hat sich dem heutigen einheitlichen Standard angepasst. Nix mit fließenden Übergängen, weichen Gesichtszügen etc. Das gibt's so nicht mehr. Von daher habe ich ein bisschen Angst, dass mir Darkwing im neuen Stil nicht gefallen wird.

Was genau hast Du denn über Google gesucht? Kann ich helfen?

Hm ... bin trotzdem gespannt, allein weil es halt Kindheitserinnerungen weckt Ich glaub ich werd direkt die alten Sachen demnächst nochmal ausgraben ... Und irgendwann lern ich vielleicht auch noch wie man das alles zeichnet ... kann ich ja bis heute nicht -_- Da bewunder ich dich echt.

Google nur ob ich irgendwo nen Stream  zu den neuen Ducktales find.

Und is mit den Stimmen doch immer so irgendwie ... deswgen guck ich eigentlich nur noch Originalton ... ok bei Cartoons isses eigentlich egal, die haben ja eigentlich keinen eigenen "Originalton" in dem Sinne ... aber trotzdem irgendwie. Hm.

As much as I enjoy this little teaser test you made here, I'm with you with the good old classic animation over the modern one.  But that's me being into feature-length films than in T.V. series, because in the feature film department, good-quality animation and storytelling is not an exception, it's the standard.

I was fine with the My Little Pony's fourth-generation look, because I didn't grow with the original series. For what I've seen from the original series, they were cheesy both in animation and context.
