Well at least there's a trio of fetish-ninjas to fend them off...

Excellent scene! love the characters and their poses. Is that frog creature's face in the back a result of postwork or is it actually a figure.

The frog people were the actual figures. I did do some postwork to make the mouth "pop" a bit more (especially on the one up on the stairs) and the glowing eyes were a result of postwork.

Well good work, it certainly stands out. May I ask which figure is that?

In daz3d the ray tracer tries to render every thing, it does not know or care if you can not see it. So, if you can't see it make invisible, like the girl with the mask. You cant see her eyes but the ray tracer can. As well, the girl with the white shirt you can't see her upper torso fore her shirt, so hide it. Doing simple things like this will speed up your render times.

Actually, the render time wasn't the problem. It was doing the setup that was giving me trouble. It just started eating up my RAM like crazy (and I have 4GB). But thanks for the tip.

Yep, it was the textures killing it. Here's what I do in poser (wish I could help you with DS, but you at least get the idea)
I get the texture references, make a backup and run any image batch processing application to reduce the texture size from the usual 4000x4000 to 2000x2000 or even less for textures that are far away form the camera, like background characters. That should free up some ram from unnecessary big textures, which you wont be using unless doing a closeup portrait renders.
After I'm done I restore them from the backup.

Yeah, I've heard that was a problem with larger pics. I probably should have done that, but this was the first time it was ever an issue (my other pics tend to be closeups). But I'll keep that in mind for next time. Thanks!

DAZ is made for simple renders... it took me forever to do my Dare To Deviate render... then I realized I could do one letter at a time and just paste them all together... things went smoother then.
If you want to see what I mean, here:[link]
Now I use Carrara and I find it allows for much more. I seriously feel it's the most powerful affordable rendering software on the market.

Thanks. It's surprisingly difficult to balance sexiness and battle readiness. Glad that you liked the results.
