Description
Done in immediate response to the THE NEW AVATAR SERIES LEGEND OF KORRA!
And as happy as I am for this new series to arrive, with a female waterbender avatar, new plot and steampunk universe, one thing did hit me so shockingly:
Aang would have to die in order for Korra to be there
and at such a young age to ( okay well, physically he dies at about 72, when he's technically 172 but
)Hmm, hopefully he wouls be a spirit advisor to Korra, just like Roku was to him.
(And yeah, that's how I picture Aang when he's an old man
) It makes me so sad, he's my favorite character of the bunch and he's not there anymore.

Sweetness! The drawing kind of reminds me of all those depictions of holy people with the shining halos around their heads. Love the facial expression! Smiley!Old!Aang is smiley and old!
Also, I think Aang would have been a lot younger when he died. A:TLK is 70 years later, right? Korra can't be born until Aang dies (RIP... *sniff*), then she learns she's the Avatar at age 16. 70-16 is 54, so Aang died 54 years after the comet, putting him at about 66/67-ish at death. I think. I doubt he died naturally... so I wonder who/what killed him.

That's what I'm hoping for! I saw a comic on here earlier with Aang as a spiritual guide to Korra... he was telling her to go ride animals. He would totally be the best spirit guide, EVER!

Great depiction, and I believe Aang would be (1)82 or 83, if you start the 70 years after the end of Season 3

Actually, he would be in his late 60s or early seventies when he passed away, since Korra is a teenager and wasn't born after those 70 years.
