Man on man, WHY do I love Kataang so much? Well to tell you the truth, I've had MANY and I mean MANY different reasons ad to why I do. But the best one for me was how realistic their relationship is.I mean, they started as the best of friends who could care and support each other in the darkest times, even when they fought and argue with each other or themselves
I wanted to draw them more romantic than this, but I guess it could get the "Best of Friends" message across

I love kataang somuch because it's a love where they're not togheter just to be togheter and get some booty now and then.

I agree. In most works of fiction, it seems like people just fall in love out of nowhere, or just by the guy hitting on the girl, like Han and Leia in Star Wars. Aang and Katara's realtionship has a real foundation that makes it more believable. Friendship is the basis of love.
It also makes the romance more entertaining, I think. The touching moments they had in the show; The Avatar State, The Cave Of Two Lovers, The Serpents Pass, are what got me interested in this ship.
