Uh, well, Gong Hey Fat Choy is actually equivalent with Gong Xi Fa Chai, but the former is in Cantonese(the common language in Hong Kong) while the latter is in Mandarin Chinese. You're correct about choy being the term for vegetable though(Well, it is in Cantonese, while it is chai in Chinese). I know this because I'm a native speaker of both languages, and I don't think you're rude
