I don't really know how to start this. Do I just start talking about the first thing that happened to me? Should I only give the highlights? Should I go and talk about every little detail that happened to me? Well, I guess it's better to just start from the beginning and my beginning? Would you believe if I said it started with one solid color of green and a whole damn lot of pain?

It started out as such a normal week in Manehattan. Lots of traffic so ponies couldn't get to their work in time, fillies and colts crying because they didn't want to go for a new week in school, which I totally agree with, school is for losers. Luckily, I am a pegasus and I had a pair of advantages that could take me anywhere anytime I want. That is if you had a flying permit. Ministry of Morale and Awesome only gave those out to the higher classes of flyers and it took weeks or months to get one now.

I had one... although it was still in transit. So when I was flying to work, I made sure to not have any cops see me. I knew Manehattan inside and out, so I knew all the little shortcuts that the Pinks didn't patrol. One block away and I was homeb- A yellow flash engulfs me and I'm on the ground with my wings strapped to my back. "Gosh darn! Come on, I was about to land in the next alley and go on hoof then." As I turn my head, my cheek receives a small peck. "Yeah, and then you would've been caught because there are a bunch of Morale Agents going around our building." said a lovely golden colored mare with a rose mane and tail, both bound in ponytails.

"Wait, what? Around the building? Did Pinkie blow up one of her test-presents again?" I said while flapping my wings a bit after being so forcefully strapped to my haunch. We rounded the corner and there were a lot of ponies surrounding the block. Crime tape and everything. "Honey, what in Celestia's name happened?" I asked, looking at her with wide eyes.
"What do you think happened? Haven't you followed the news?" Honey said with a bit of an annoyed look on her face. "Who am I kidding? You don't even spend a minute in front of a tv-set or with a newspaper in your hooves. Always wasting your time sleeping and working out."

"Oh come on, you know you love me and you being the smarter one. So, how about you show me how your IQ is so much higher than mine and tell me what happened?" I said, giving her a playful tug at her scarf. "Zebras happened, Silent. Again. This has been two attacks in as many weeks. Last week they blew up the main Celestia line going in and out of the city, and yesterday evening they blew up the Police station. I'm telling ya, they're planning something big, blowing up our main traffic lines and causing such chaos. Discord would be proud." "Stripes being smart and planning something?" I snorted "Come on, Honey, we both know that they are as dumb as the rocks they're keeping from us."

I turned around and looked for a way to get in. Pinks were everywhere and we both forgot our badges at home. Me, I can understand for the forgetfulness but Honey was probably too distraught by the news to have remembered it. Time for plan B and I saw just the pony I needed. I waved down a light blue stallion speaking with a Pink and he trotted straight at us. "Nova, Dew, glad you made it here safe. Agent Streamers, these two are part of the Scouts. You can let them pass." The Morale Agent donned in a pink costume saluted the blue pony and lifted the crime tape to let us pass.

"Thank you, Captain Soarin." Honey said with a flush. "No problem, ladies. Next time, don't forget your badge, okay? These are dark times we're living in and we can't be careful enough." Soarin puffed his chest and let us go through the door first, like the gallant stallion he was. I gave him a snap of my tail when I passed him. "Watch out or Spitfire will have your plot."

Nothing gets your ass in gear like the threat of a zebra attack about to happen. And I made sure to make my Scout patrol extra thorough that day. Plenty of suspicious activity but a lot were false alarms. The only real worthwhile thing that happened today was helping a poor elderly mare with her groceries. Poor thing was scarred all over, said she had been a burn victim once. Honey would've probably adored the sight of me helping this poor lady.

I had a whole report I could file today and I knew a certain golden mare that would love to help me with that. When I flew back to the Headquarters, all the Pinks were packing up and ready to go to their next hole-up. I just rolled my eyes. If some Stripe would've come and tried to bomb the Soarin Scouts HQ then they would've first lost their stripes before they could plant the thing.
I took the elevator up to the highest floor and trotted to the desk where Soarin was nervously taking a phone call from a very angry Spitfire, something to do with "another mare and a shower". When he saw me, he gestured for me to wait and he quickly said his goodbye and kisses and told me to follow him for some awesome news.

We trotted to the locker rooms and then a bit further to the roof courtyard where my lovely Honey was waiting for me. After giving each other a nuzzle, she asked the Captain "How was the meeting today with Minister Dash and Sparkle, Captain?" "Oh, you know how it goes, Ms. Dew. A lot of speculation and such but no one has a clue what happened or what to do... But-" and he stepped out in front of us and the rest of the team. "That's not what we're here for, ladies and gentlecolts, the M.W.T has just brought us our latest piece of technology and I know you're gonna love them."

He stepped aside and two unicorns brought in two racks filled with black suits of armor. You wouldn't say they were armor in the first place, they looked so sleek. "I present to you, the Shadow Suit Mark II. Equipped with the latest piece in stealth technology, it has a Stealthbuck that charges with your own kinetic energy. Which in layman terms means, if your heart beats, you'll be invisible until you turn it off." Soarin directed us to the two unicorns who called out our names so we could pick up our own suits. "Now, do know that there can still be kinks in the system so if you have any trouble, please report it immediately." the green unicorn told us as she floated a clipboard.

I couldn't wait, this was just too awesome! The moment they called my name, I flew by and grabbed the suit out of the unicorn's magic and flew to the locker room. By the time Honey Dew entered with her own magic around her suit, I already had the armor on and was looking at myself in the big wall mirror. "Shouldn't you read the manual first before you put it on?" she said while putting it away in her locker and grabbing the big book that came with it. "I have you for that, my sweet little smartypants." I said, not taking my eyes off my mirror image. The new armor looked a lot like the Shadowbolt armor but it was much more sleeker and more fitting for our kinds of patrols, as in, the ones that you shouldn't get caught.

I sat down and started to look at the sweet new Pipbuck that came with the armor. The new Delta version melted almost together with the suit and if you didn't know it was there then you would've missed it. Honey came over and explained to me how the Stealth buck worked and pressed the button for me. I watched my hooves disappear and when I turned to the mirror, I only saw the lockers, the benches, and my lovely Honey. I was nowhere to be seen. I clicked the button again after a bit of fumbling and turned visible again.

"Until I've figured out all the rest, I would suggest you stop fiddling with it. Wouldn't want you to blow yourself up." Honey said while walking to her locker. I followed her and opened my own and couldn't help to marvel at myself in my own smaller mirror with a bumblebee sticker in the corner. Then I took the helmet from the bench and put it on. It immediately connected when it touched my mane and it looked like it was all one piece. "This is pure awesomesauce! I can't believe that these suits came so soon!" Honey opened up her muzzle to say something but was cut off by the sudden sirens coming on.

Everyone looked around quizzically and at first didn't know what to do. I took a glance outside where we saw ponies running away in panic and pegasi flying away to the sky. Then suddenly the alarm was interrupted by the speakers:

"THIS IS NO DRILL! GET TO A STABLE IMMEDIATELY! REPEAT, THIS IS NO DRILL! GET TO A STABLE IMMEDIATELY!"

Then the panic set in, I flew back to my locker to quickly grab my personal items and wanted to start for the door when I turned around and saw Honey still looking outside in shock. "HONEY, COME ON! WE NEED TO GET TO A STABLE!" I flew back to her to grab her by her tail when I saw and heard it at the same time.

The loudest explosion I will ever hear in my entire life and the brightest flash I've seen. We turned away from it for just a second and when I turned back, my eyes widened in horror.

A gigantic green cloud was erupting from the center of Manehattan and was rapidly spreading through the streets. I watched in horror as pegasi who were flying as fast as they could, were dissolved when the cloud touched them. Everything was erased, not even bones were left. But I couldn't think about that, we needed to get away, we needed to get to a stable. I grabbed Honey's hoof but she turned to me and with tears in her eyes she said "The Zebras... they won... we're too l-"

Before she could finish that sentence, the cloud had reached the building. Immediately the window shattered and we were both smacked into the wall mirror that had shattered along with the window. I think my only saving grace was the helmet I was wearing but it didn't do much as the lockers were torn from the walls and flew right on top of us.

But I couldn't focus on the pain of the lockers crushing us as I was in a lot more. The green cloud had engulfed us and the chemicals were invading our body and made it very hard for us to breathe. I think I faded in and out of consciousness that moment, but every time I came to, it was only green and so. Much. Pain. Every breath was agony and it felt like a thousand needles were invading my body at the same time.

And then, everything faded to black...
