A LONG time ago, I once did the cast of the main "ED's" from "Ed,Edd n Eddy" dressed as the cast of "Courage the Cowardly Dog".- Then I drew them as actual dog dogs.
After seeing images of "Double D" and Courage together, I figured... Why not?

Here's kismet rearing its head again, since I've been seeing more of "Ed, Ed, & Eddy" lately. I really enjoyed this, since the straight-arrow Edd was always my favorite character, even when I didn't care for the show much (it's grown on me since then). The expression is wonderful--so very "double D"! I'll look up those others of yours as well...
