Perhaps this was Rayman a few years ago, when they thought those pesky Rabbids were about to kill their franchise for them... until Origins came to save it!

sure "Raving Rabbids" wasn't great great, but the musical parodies they've done are pretty much fantastic. I love/enjoy "Origins" cause of the colors and animation style.Though it gets frustrating, I still find the game fantastic.

The music parts were good at least, yeah.

I've had fun with Origins up to now, though I had to put in a lot of effort to get the Time Trials and top Lum targets on those levels I played last night. (Started on Didgeridoo Desert - that's as far as I've got yet)
It's certainly very stylistic and colourful - and I love some of the music, too. Moskito's buzzy kazoo music and the bizarre Jew's harp action-theme in the Jibberish Jungle!

The Time Trials are a pain. The Top Lum targets are tricky too. But what I'm really trying to achieve is last tooth for Land of the Livid (Living) Dead , I think I have 190 electoons. Though I'm not sure sure yet.

Yeah, those runaway chests can be a pest as well...
Indeed, there's little margin for error on those Time Trials. It's a good job Sonic the Hedgehog gave us a lot of practice!

in a sense Rayman's kind of a mixture of Sonic,Mario and Earthworm Jim.

From the looks of things, it looks like Rayman broke out of a jail and he just got caught in the headlights searching for him

As for the drawings themselves. Top quality and cartoony as usual and each scared silly expression whilst conveying the same emotion, each are different and pulled off really well. My personal favourite would be generation 2's expression and posture. It's like he's saying "g-g-guys, this isn't what it looks like".
1's is like "m-me? What did I do?"
and 3 is like "p-please go away!"

Great work!

Thanks. What do you like about Rayman anyway? From his games to his character design.
Do you think all 3 of Rayman's looks could work in one game? Mario has baby Mario as a playable character in some of his games. Sonic got to meet his past self. So, why not Rayman? Cause I see the three of them (Rayman's designs from 1 to 3;"Hoodlum Havoc")as that of brothers. Though it alternates between that to him "aging". Meaning he grew up as his game changed.

When I first saw the first Rayman game, it was in a video game magazine article about the Atari Jaguar, and Rayman was one of the launch games for it. I'd always wanted to play it ever since I saw it and when it was finally released on Playstation 1 I bought it immediately. I'm a big fan of French created cartoons, games and comics (Tin Tin, Asterix, Wakfu, Marsupilami) so Rayman was pretty much a given. The overall design of the world, the beautiful fluid animation in the first game (and the newer Rayman Origins)...there's just something about it that warms me up whenever I see it. I still think the first game holds up really really well.

I like Origins, though it still could've used Rayman's other friends. "Tarayzan", the Magician and his cousin Andrew. you know.I've seen Marsupilami before. But it was from "RawToonage" and "Tin Tin". Both aired years ago back in the 90s on TV

If you'd like to see more of my Rayman fan art, it's here

Hope you don't mind my zany "American" antics I made him do.

What are your honest thoughts on the "Rayman Raving Rabbids" series?

Yeah, I've only seen the Raw Toonage version of Marsupilami in full, but Marathon in France actually did a true to the comic strip version of the show. I don't remember exactly what happened but something about Disney and the original creator having differences caused them to have to pull the Raw Toonage version off the air.
I need to find the French version and sit and watch it one afternoon.

As for Raving Rabbids, I never played them. I think they're funny, but I'm not a mini-game gamer so there's a chance I'll never touch them. Rabbids Go Home however, I might pick up one day.

You've got a lot of awesome Rayman art in your gallery!

Ah. Never seen the French version of Marsupilami.
Maybe some vids and some screenshots. I'm surprised he had a family.
Thanksf or the compliment on my Rayman fan works.
Have you done any art of the "limbless wonder"?

just one, but it's not very good. I don't think it's in my gallery anymore...though I could be wrong.

Gosh, in pictures like these I'd usually say that Rayman 1 is the most adorable, but I think Rayman 2's teary-eyed look takes the prize in this one! And Rayman 3's expression is great!
