Thanks. Yeah. I don't really like damsels in distress. I'd like to see more women in the cartoon world kick butt.

Yeah, the chiche not only gets old real quick, but the execution in most recent scenarios are no better (Sonic 06, etc.).  I do like butt-kickers, as long as they're likable, easy to relate to and not infuriating (as the Nostalgic Critic would call some 'dumb eggs in distress).

how're are butt-kicking women infuriating?

Not all of them, but there are a rare few like that one chick Finn from the Stoked animated series whom I didn't enjoy (she was a bit too extreme for my taste).  I hear Bayonetta from the Bayonetta games is likable and a butt-whooper at that, and I've never even play or watch the play-through of the game to see her character arch.

What I mean is I enjoy action-packed women who are balanced personality-wise.  Heroines that I can also sympathize and root on at the same time.  It's always fun creating our very own bad-egg heroines and complex villianesses.  Now those are a treat to do!

Ah.
Well,  Jessica Sandals (my Jimmy Two-Shoes) Rosie Sparkles, Twinkle and Laura (my Rayman fan characters) have sweet personalities, but when push comes to shove, they will beat down their attacker(s) till they bleed. But they also have a klutzy feminine side. They enjoy hanging out with their friends and boyfriends. (But their boyfriends can be their friends. Not trying to "mary-sue" them if that's what you're thinking.)

I kind of have the same thing with some of my characters apparently.  Sweet, fierce, confused, sometimes uptight; most are family-oriented team players, adventure-seekers and some of the time born-leaders.  But they all wonder about their purposes in life.

I don't necessarily judge any OC as a Mary-Sue.  Instead, I just give them a chance for me to get know them, then just get suck into their worlds, stories, etc.  Always curious about their character development.

Still slow unfortunately.  Not only school/work life, but the laptop I use to submit art is located upstairs in my sister's room most of the time.  Always a hard time to choose a day to photoshoot my pics.

try saving up a lot of money for a scanner and a personal PC for yourself.

Yeah and a decent scanner at that.  Because my sister bought a new 'T.V.' type of computer screen next to her old one, she's getting her boyfriend to buy a new motherboard, Photoshop program and a scanner also.  I'm not sure when, but I'll keep what I'm doing right now with an open mind.  Who knows?
