the line work was done by hand using various pens from Sharpies to fine liners. Though I am trying to learn how to ink using the computer.

XD I see. You realy know how to manipulate your lines well from traditional!

Inking on the computer is pretty tough. A few techniques I like to use is making use of the pen tool, and drawing them with my tablet. XD; Of course not everyone has a tablet, but the pen tool option can help you "fake it" as the case may be.

I need to do a couple of tutorials as it is, so I might try to throw them all together into a methods tutorial. I can explain the pen tool a little better by showing, rather than trying to write it out XD; I can't remember the tutorial I originally learned the technique from (many are quite advanced) and I do it a little different with the pen tool, anyway... mostly because I'm still lazy about it XD

Photoshop 7. I originally learned how to use Photoshop on CS2 in college. A lot of things work the same, especially the pen. If I remember right from when I did the trial of CS5, it works the same as well.
