Description

And here's my pith for Nick appreciation Month. I've said before that I kind of like this show, so I went and started to marathon Season 1 to find episodes that justify my statement. Here's one of them, which I did for the concept alone.

There are other, and dare I say, better episodes I want to do, but I'll wait for Mr Marioking to cover the other 2 eps he's going to do this month, so I don't spoil what he's doing via process of elimination. I asked him to tell me the ones he's doing so I don't step on his toes.

I was disappointed when I found he wouldn’t do this, one, as it proves Nick has some ties to their old days, even it's rather small and weird. But eh, his other picks are good too.

I'm not saying the show is great (I'd put it in the β€œAbove Average” category) but it has plenty of good that I noticed. Onc ei got past the bad. (Cough Unbarfable Cough). I totally get it you hate it though, as long as you don't insult the creators/writers or anything.

And hey, it's still better than Breadwinners.

In that relatively bad era of nicktoons, AKA the late 2000's-early 2010's, this one was at least trying to be a good show; it wanted to be different, but in the guise of what Nickelodeon wanted. I appreciate it's efforts... truly, but it usually was trapped in it's disguise, not able to become the show it wants to be... hopefully we can see the real show, as opposed to the disguise, but that's probably unlikely... this is what I heard the creators say; a show with more heart and less fart.

Granite, we do have some neat segments in the show... I'll say this is fine; I love the reference to Double Dare

Yes. You're right, it is a great episode. If Sanjay and Craig didn't have toilet humour it would be a good show and I would watch it more, but that's awesome that they're using their roots for a plot.

I kinda feel Sanjay and Craig is an underrated show; it can do good when it uses toilet humour correctly. Sometimes it hits its mark with episodes like this or "Cup O' Universe" - but other times it screws up (Old Farts, Fart Baby).

Finally, some people can say that there are good episodes in bad shows. Thanks for posting this.Β

I'll admit this, this episode got me to actually LIKE Sanjay and Craig, bad episodes aside its their best comedy in years. I mean, the main town is named after Dolph Lundgren, that's badass. This episode made me rethink about Nick, maybe they don't need to die, maybe they just need loving help to see the light once more before it's too late.

I wouldn't say Nick needs to be humbled, but it needs better guidance. Trouble Dare is proof they haven't forsaken their past, but they need to come out of their shells and embrace the past for help.
