Yeah, took a bit of break but I'm back with a movie everyone clearly wants me to talk about! Jokes aside, this movie was better than i remembered.... mostly.

The thing with the movie is that its usually simple okay but then it has these strong moments or concepts. See, Kenai hates bears because one killed his brother, so he goes out to kill that bear, and then the spirits turn him into a bear as punishment to teach him a lesson and due to how it happened his other brother think the bear killed Keani and wants to kill Bear Keani not knowing said bear is indeed Keani.

Yeah, kind of a heavy set up and is it very interesting and well done...but the death scene is a tad rushed. Not too a big a deal though. The mid section is where it drags, with the typical dynamic he and Koda have. While Koda has his moments, he can be annoying at times. I didn't blame the kid, he was just directly poorly sometimes. Fun fact, this kid grew up to have a role in the AVGN movie. Not even kidding.

The nice moments do help their relationship, especially near the end. There are some heartwarming moments that did suck me in. I even like the moose, who i know are divisive for some. the DVD commentary has these two doing t and now i want to buy the DVD just to hear it.

As for the Phill Collins...eh. Not bad at all, just forgettable compared to the Tarzan songs. Their worst crime is being forgettable though, nothing is too bad. Yeah, iI'll never get Phil Colins hatedom, he's FINE.

So yeah, this movie is mixed. It can have powerful moments, but also a lot of average stuff. That balances out to a light good. This could have very strong if the better elements were more frequent and they tightened things up especially in terms of pacing. But as it is, i do like it and it is ever so slightly underrated, even if i get why people are mixed on it.

Take that or what it's worth. Next time, onto one i recall being great.
