I love the use of colours here, it's just enough to make this thing pleasing to look at, instead of boring. Also, this way for some reason I get more focused on your amazing shading on the characters (they look flawlessand cartoonish) I have to admit I don't look at cartoons too often, so I don't know if the 'faded character' is a common trick, but it definitely works to show who the 'main' character is in the story.
