I unfortunitly discovered Gloom Cookie just earlier this year.. and of course flipped out that i hadn't picked it up earlier like i had wanted too. I hadn't read anything that good in such a long time. I had read "Nightmares and Fairytales" before GC.. but i must say Serena shines the best in GC. Though i admit that FSc kicks some ass as the artist in NMaFTs.
Anyways i'm wowed, and wooed by Mrs. Valentino's writing. It's just so magical, and at times very real and from the heart. So this drawing of Lex (one of many i've done) is dedicated to and for her.
(i just can't wait for the 4th book to come out.

I agree, I picked up Nightmares and Fairytales before GloomCookie, and I loved them both... but GloomCookie I love that tiny bit more... Ms. Valentino really shines there.

I love the light colours and the painterly approach you've used. The hair looks like it's floating - actually, the whole drawing looks like it's floating, it looks so light. Light and romantic, that's it.
She has such a sweet expression. And the perfect eyelashes! Not to mention that little nose or those full lips. So pretty.

Ted all the way. He really set the mood for GC, and no one has his charm and freshness. The new artist is very intresting, and teh 2 before him i love.. but i don't like the 2nd, which i think is john burns... he just ruined Isabella and Damion for me.. though he prolly got close to waht Serena looks like in Lex.. but i loved Lex being so tiny!
