WOW! I love my new monitor. I got a wide screen flat panel that can be spun around for vertical effect. So i did this image (my first with thsi monitor.. course i just got it today) in vertical mode! SOOOO fun! I finally have more of a canvus that's not limiting. And for once i can do my characters as they are meant to be.. vertical and long. ^______^
Now i'm not sure how the colors look to everybody else. I've tried to get my settings as close as possible to what my older images have in them. The monitor seems to loose some of teh depth that i was producing in my images, but not that much.
Fun stuff.
*hugs her monitor*Also was listening to Morissesy's new album while i was working on this. That was pretty cool taht i got to hear a preview of the ENTIRE album. Not bad. Moz is the man.

you know what it is that i really like about your work, it's that they're still drawings/paintings.
i've mentioned before to you that i find digital art somewhat distasteful, especially for the fact that it seems remove the artist too far from the piece. i've also found that a lot digital i've seen here is either photomanips, or are strangely 3-dimensional. i'm sure you're aware, in terms of digital art, there's this huge cliche where the more realistic it looks, the more fake it is (i.e. final fantasy)
i guess what i'm trying to say is that i'm somehow able to see your work in the same way i'd see a 2-minute charcoal gesture drawing, completely unrealistic, yet real. as always, great work.

actually i don't like smoking either, but something about a fictional character smoking is appealing to me. Trust me, i'm a non-smoker. : )
