I remember seeing the quite a while ago, but kinda didn't bother to comment. Anyway, I really love this photo--especially the way the silhouettes are up against the gradient of colours. Looks like something out of Jeepers Creepers... but it's also very peaceful at the same time.

The cool, blue colours add to the gloomy feel a burnt forest usually brings in this photograph which you've captured quite well. The only thing that sorta seems outta place here is the slight grain on the upper left and right corner.

Yeah, I'm not really sure why the grain is so much more visible in the top of the picture. There wasn't a whole lot I could do about it though. The picture started off rather dark, so I had to lighten it a fair bit. I'm sure that's probably the reason that the grain is there.

I played around a little bit with contrast and saturation, but this is fairly close to how it started.


And... I don't know what channel mixer is. I don't have Photoshop CS2. I'm using Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0

Thanks a lot Jim (is that right?), it took me a while to decide exactly how to present this picture. I'm glad you like it. I'm planning on going back out to this area and taking some more daylight photos, just to show the real extent of the damage.
