Arachnid anatomy sure is peculiar! It's like... they got a grand total of ten limbs, it's just that they have specialized uses, for spiders they serve as secondary genitalia, for scorpions they are claws and harvestmen... I guess they're for.... manipulating food? courtship? hell if I know! xD In any case, I've placed pedipalps in odd places for my arachnid people, in some cases they are a pair of arms, in other cases they're a neck accessory, in Harvestman's case, they're in his mouth. :>

Yeah I was gonna bring up how they're essentially testes that are hands that are like.. hairy prehensile teeth. But I actually didn't know if the mating purpose was TRUE, I mean it sounded like something my teacher would have added in as a joke XD
Arachnids are just fascinatingly odd and for some reason I prefer the ones that have REALLY RIDICULOUS REASONS FOR PEDIPALPS rather than scorpions who just have logical clawybobs XD
I like how you moved them to different places depending on the character, its fun to see different ways they could end up when you try and fit them on a humanized critter. You have some of the best and most original anthro designs I've ever seen, and I can't believe I'm only now noticing the amazing adventures of these guys!

Yeah, for my jumping spider dude Ragno, the palps are his hands because of how important it is to have, erm, dexterity. Also he's a great dancer, as all male jumping spiders are. for a female wolfspider concept I made her palps a kind of furry collar since they're not ... very useful?
