For a basic drawing of this character, this is pretty good! I enjoy the very minimal shading you did here, as the main focus is the character and not his surroundings.

I think the polka dots in the background shouldn't be pure black, as they contrast too much and take away from the black colours of the character's shirt, hair, and nails. Maybe instead of using black dots, you could've used dark purple. Doesn't contrast as much, doesn't take attention away from other colours.

Speaking of the shirt, I think the lines of details on the shirt (not the vest by the way.) should be white or a grey instead of pure black so you can actually see the lines well without staring closely at it.

All in all, I like the lines you added to represent wrinkles in the clothes, along with the arms.

The place you put your signature is nice, as it doesn't disturb the main drawing, yet it is still visible from a distance.

In conclusion, this is a really good drawing, with very few mistakes! <3

Ok, before I start, let me clear on a coped of thighs:

1st of . English is not my 1st language, so bare with me if I get some mediocre spelling mistake and grammar mistake that I over look.

2nd of all, You are brave for putting your art out there and asking for a Constructive Critique. so If some of my word may or may not offend you, it was not intentional.

3rd I by no mean a Professional or a top tear artist. but, that doesn't make my opinion lest valid then those how have a college degree in art.

and Lastly, there are tone and I mean TONES of tutorial via YouTube Or DA. So be hungry for knowledge and search up what you think mite be lacking in your art.

Here we go:

- Proposio/Anatomy : this can be easily fix with Referents picture. keep in mind the "S" curve in your drawing. ( you can look it up later )

Note: theres no shame in looking up Referents, many grate artist do this, and still. but don't heavily depend on in.

- Color: there too Bight. never, And I mean NEVER use just strait up pink or the color you are trying to pick (unless this it a stylistic choice or its intentional) try to chose a color that is more lither than the actual color, so that the shading and the highlight can do the rest. speaking of shading.

- Shading: Your shadow is to light. In the real word, Shadow doesn't behave that way. there's thing in shading you need to keep in mind, Hard shadow/Sharp Shadow (the part where the shadow is the most solid) and Light shadow/soft shadow (the shadow that is the most light or blur a bit). you also got to keep in mind the texture of your surfest, Is the shadow hitting a fabric texture or a metal texture? is the subject casting the shadow is hit whit a hard Lightning or a soft Lightning? ( I'll get to this in a sec )

Note: I Recommend never use pure Black as your shading color, it make the picture look dead. use color like a dark read or a dark purple depending on the environment. and try not to use the Air Brush tool for shading.

- Lighting : Lighting, just like shadow. can make a HUGE in pack in your drawing if your doing it right. Lighting also effect your shadow!. if you look out side lets say at the sun highest point with little to no cloud, you'll notice the shadow is much more harder and sharp than when there cloud in the sky where the shadow is much more soft and blued.

Note: never use pure white as your highlight, threes many colors you can use as a highlight but try to use pure white sparingly.

- Background : the background have the same problem with the color, try using a more lither pink.

Note: is also recommended by some artist to color the background first then the subject. the background can greatly effect the subject color, shading, and lighting.

Summary: Referents and observation can be your grates tool as an artist. go out side, look at how the light of the time of day effect the shadow of the subject, look at other people movement and flow. or if your worry people will look at you funny, try looking up references for the that specific pose you want, if you cant find it? take the reference picture your self or ask a Friend or a family member to do the pose for you!

there are some positive here like the face and the fabric fold, but that need improvement as well.

all and all, there's many way to improve, it only take your a tension, patient and practice.

Hope this help's will be in any help in your art journey And have a nice day or night. <3 e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/>

Thank you very much, I see all of what you are saying. No, I didn't find this in any way offensive, I really need help with finding how to stick to a good realistic style. I am a poor colorer (or whatever) and this is very useful.
