As we left our character, he was about to towel off, get dressed, and go to work, again, at the CIRCUS!
Once happy all the sweat ,grime,and stench from the previous day's work is gone,he gathers up his meager array of tools from his nightstand/cabinet. In the red-painted, sanded-down, wooden toolbox, Norb has scrounged and repurposed basic tools, among which is his most prized and most valuable tool, 3/4 of a roll of duct tape.

He found the head of a hammer,with a few chips in the head.
A screwdriver set that looked rusty but wasn't, plus was missing the biggest and smallest screwdriver.
An empty matchbox filled with misshapen and warped nails and screws.
A few pieces of assorted sandpaper.
Some small jars with different amounts of a variety of glue and paints.
A hand- made paintbrush,with the finest bristles he could find, his own hair.

He is proud that, over the course of his time here, he has done well for himself
Once Norb has gathered the tools needed for ONE of his two jobs, he mentally prepared himself for the other. As he walked upstairs from his room to get to the ground floor, which let out into the city, he remembers his only source of transportation.

A skateboard, built over time. Sanding the plank of wood, paining it. Building it was East, compared to finding 4 closely similar wheels.2 wheels were very close in size, the other 2 were bugger and smaller, respectfully. So he had to sand off material off of the bigger wheel and add ducttape for thickness to the smallest wheel.

As he grabs his skateboard, and has his toolbox in the nook of his arm, he sets the board down and rides it a few miles to the first job for the first 2 hours,then back close to "home" to the other job, for the next 4 hours, THEN back to the first job again for the last 2 hours. After the 8 hours of work each day of the week, with the weekend off, he is "free to do whatever he wants". Which really means, the circus owner, who "hired" the kid and forced and threatened him to sign the contract, someone else slapped a collar around his neck, how humiliating.

They called it a " rather tight necklace" , unbeknownst to Norb, it had a couple not so nice features. On the "necklace" there's 2 lights and 3 buttons. One of those sparingly few buttons is the release mechanism for the collar. Another, if held for 5 seconds, emits a warning sound on the collar and sends it to the circus HQ. He still doesn't know where it is. The last button pops open a small hatch, and has a few map scrolls.
(Inter- Auto) He never saw the little bulbs light up, but upon inspection, on one of his few breaks during work, one bulb looks green, the other looks blue.

Where the collar meets the back of his neck, are two " cushions". They feel soft and don't dig into his neck. One has a mesh cover in the center, and the other gas two little ( sharp) thick things also built into the center of the other cushion.

What they are really is: the mesh cover is over a small but full packet of DIP, mainly turpentine, acetone,and benzene. The other is a simplified taser. It is only capable of small bursts of electricity. One day while working, he could have sworn, he felt something trickling down his back, and thought his clothes weren't thar badly damaged. That is, until he felt the full power when he became... A toon.
