Description
This creature is a little over a foot long, making some consider it to be an insect. It was the first true predator on Scoria 34 ever discovered. It has a pair of wings that sit on it's back, four legs, a very thin body, and a giant, three-pronged mouth that make up a lot of it's body. They often come in these colors, dark bronze, black, brown, or dark yellow. They live in the deserts of Scoria 34, hunting in packs to track down prey. They are pretty blind and use chemical trails and sensitive antennae located behind their eyes to locate their prey and predators. These creatures are highly aggressive and territorial. When the explorers first fount them, they were attacked by a breeding group of four. One of the explorers was wounded badly, and was taken back to base shortly after. They mate four times a year with multiple partners throughout their 20 year lifespan.
