I love the play of the shadows and the beautiful fanciful background. Very elegant and delicate work.

did you use spray paint for the tinting? It has a interesting grainy effect.

it's actually done with resin... i put ground resin in a sock and gently shook it over the plate, and then put the plate on a hotplate to melt the resin. i love aquatinting... definitely my favorite part of etching!

I love this etching! Great complement of decoration and shade! The rounded edges of the plate are a nice touch as well...Great work.

Printmaking is really quite fun. I like the etching into part more than the inking and pressing itself, but they are quite lovely once they're complete, aren't they?
Would you care to take a look at mine? Oh, and, um...do you know if you need a specified type of paper needed to press onto? I use plain watercolor paper.

I don't think there's a "right" kind of paper to use... usually it takes awhile to find the paper that gives you the image you want. This print was on Rives BFK paper, which tends to be one of my favourite kinds of paper (especially for painting and drawing).
Printmaking is lovely. Thanks, I'll definitely take a look at your stuff!

Beautiful!
Shadowpuppets are my guilty pleasure...for some reason, when you do a dog on the wall and talk in a conversational tone while making it lipsync...to this day, it makes me laugh uncontrollably!
i need to experiment with shadow and light more...

I really love this. Just the design of the wall and the fact that you have someone doing a shadow puppet which I have yet to see elsewhere :] Very nice
