the lens is crazy indeed. i thought my 70-200mm f2.8L IS was the holy grail for medium telephotos for a long, long time, but this thing came along and redefined my notion of how sharp a lens can be. it weighs a ton and people are very intimidated by it, but i still lug it around from time to time for street candids
