Thank you John, I took it in 1996 on my Hassleblad. Printed on Ilford warm tone paper. The print looks so much better than the scan,
I used the texture and tone of the paper to complement the detail in the face.
It's hard to get the true meaning of photographs across that where technically taken in an entirely different generation of photography.
I'm so glad I got to experience photography before digital, some of my prints took a whole day to print.
I think that's a reason I like your work so much, you show an old school understanding of the relationship between a photographer and his subject.
Thank you for looking at my work, one of my favorite sayings is "a Photograph isn't finished until it's been viewed"
