I realise you only meet her in the Prologue but she will play a bit of a greater role once The Curse's spin-off's are written.

Father: unknown
Siblings: Tumblekit, Pebblefoot, and Minnowtail.
Warrior Name: Shallowthroat (named for being quiet as a kit and for most of her apprenticeship)

Deputies: Minnowtail (whom retired), Poisonfang (killed), and Flowdeep
Proceeded By: Mistystar
Succeeded By: Flowstar

She didn't stay as deputy for long; once Reedwhisker died, Mistystar named her as deputy but the leader died only a few days later. She appointed her sister as her deputy (because, as kits, she promised Minnowtail would be deputy if she became leader). Her Clan was plagued by constant tension between RiverClan and ShadowClan/WindClan, even resulting in a few bloody battles that cost the lives of several of her Clanmates. She managed to keep the peace for a long while until the uneasy peace broke and a fight with WindClan ensued, costing the life of Poisonpaw's sister, Cloudpaw. She ensured the young apprentice that she would be remembered forever, but even she saw the desire for revenge in the young cat's eyes. Poisonpaw proved to be a powerful and formidable warrior and that earned him the name of Poisonfang. Shallowstar trusted the cat with fighting off any threats and, when Minnowtail retired due to old age, she appointed Poisonfang as her deputy. She did not foresee being in the position would corrupt the cat so much but she could do little about it, only watch her Clan suffer battle after battle while a terrible greencough racked her body. StarClan sent her a sign of eventual destruction for her Clan should she allow Poisonfang to succeed her and so, she attempted to exile the deputy. But not before Poisonfang tried to claim his title by force before being killed by Flowdeep. After Poisonfang's death, she announced Flowdeep as the next deputy and died only a few short days later with greencough claiming the rest of her lives. Her reign lasted around 5 years.
