Smokepaw mouth gaped open as his wide, yellow eyes scanned the endless expanse of grass that seemed to stretch as far as Silverpelt itself. His whiskers twitched excitedly, itching to dart forward and explore every inch of the territory.

"All of this is WindClan's territory?" he asked, curiously eyeing his new mentor.

Sootspeck nodded, sitting down. His head turned throughout the whole territory; he'd been a warrior for only two moons but knew every inch of his home, every pebble, every gorse bush, every tunnel. And he would be able to pass all his knowledge to Smokepaw. "Yes, all of this. This has been WindClan's territory since the dawn of the Clans and that won't ever change. This will be our home for many generations beyond our own."

The dark gray apprentice sat next to his mentor, smiling. "We're the best Clan because we're the one's closest to StarClan," he gloated, staring up at the pale dawn sky. His eyes shifted to the dark, shadowy leaves of trees a long ways away. "Is that Fourtrees over there? Where the Gatherings are held?"

Sootspeck enjoyed answering this curious cat's questions. He nodded to his apprentice's question, adding, "Yes, those are Fourtrees. And beyond that is ThunderClan territory, to the west is ShadowClan and to the east is RiverClan. The four Clans in the forest."

Smokepaw turned to Sootspeck with pleading eyes. "Can we please go to the borders? I wanna get a chance to see a RiverClan or ThunderClan or ShadowClan cat."

"Alright, alright, we'll swing by the ThunderClan border on our way through the territory," he sighed, getting on his paws. "Just don't complain of your paws hurting by the time we get back to camp."

Smokepaw took a big leap forward, a big grin lining his muzzle. "I won't. I promise."
